Spark & Spunk

Theresa Harrison of TAH Services needed a name for her new line of adaptive clothing for boys: stylish, sensory-friendly apparel that kids with special needs can put on themselves, with magnets and hook-and-loop closures standing in for buttons and zippers. The brief called for a friendly, lively, universal tone rather than anything overly childlike. After an exploration ranging from the evocative (Dreamyard) to the idiomatic (Different Strokes) and the phrasal (Best of Both), Theresa chose Spark & Spunk. The alliterative pairing radiates boldness, confidence, and energy, expressing the brand’s position of can-do kids and easy, stylish dressing that starts the day right.

Other Projects

Theresa built this company out of care for young, differently-abled boys who needed something better. That same openness carried into the naming: by welcoming an ampersand, she gave us room to find a name we could actually own in one of the most crowded trademark classes there is.
