Whole New Home Ltd., a North American-based SaaS e-commerce and omni-channel platform, wanted a name that better captured their new enterprise—a platform that provided young designers with a variety of tools they could use to design inspiration boards, communicate with clients, and converse with design colleagues. Kabuni, a Swahili word that translates as “design”, proved the ideal name. Since April 2016, Kabuni has started earning revenue from the introduction of an e-commerce functionality and capability to its platform, allowing clients to purchase products directly from inspiration boards. With this imaginative platform, Kabuni has definitely "disrupted" the traditional home design and decorator business model.
