Foxx Development had designed a new budget phone which featured a larger than usual display screen for its price point. In addition to suggesting this larger display, the name needed to be short, simple, and resonate with Spanish speaking customers. Miro, meaning “to look” in Spanish, metaphorically mapped to the phone’s larger than average display while simultaneously calling up the great 20th century Spanish artist Joan Miro.Partner: Irasema Design
Because the mobile phone space is very crowded, finding names that are not in use can be very labour intensive. Staying open to all kinds of possibilities is crucial and the three Foxx professionals we worked with—Linda Yin, Jeffrey Harper, and Nekoi Mei—just did that.
