After considering and experimenting with an ocean of contender names, the client opted for the clever, but descriptive, SEA.AI, a name inspired by River + Wolf’s exploration of “sea” based names such as SeaSafe, SeaScience, SeaEye, and ClearSea. The homophonic “sea” and “see” encapsulate the arena and function of the company’s detection technologies. The name received additional support with the tagline: “Machine Vision for Safety at Sea”.
