Buyer’s Lab and Infotrend were merging and required a new name. The name needed to convey the concept of essential information and available insights for customers. The dual meaning of “key”—something essential and a tool that unlocks—worked very well as a base. Adding the word “point” played to precise insights. The final word, “intelligence” strengthened the mark from a trademark perspective and highlighted the company’s smart reports and advisory services.
