It was the night before Christmas—or almost—when we got a call from Kashif Naqshbandi, the Chief Marketing Officer of a yet nameless group with the mission of delivering and developing hard-to-find IT talent through their world-leading staffing brands. After generating a deep pool of names, two favorites rose to the top—10XTalent (inspired from the Silicon Valley expression 10X engineer) and Fourth Revolution (a term that captures the amazing technology advances commensurate with those of the first, second and third industrial revolutions). As sometimes the case in naming, a merger of two candidates births the winning name. Such was the case with Tenth Revolution—a name that captured the super engineer concept plus the idea of the group’s talent serving not only today’s cloud computing needs but the needs of future revolutions.
